Highlights
Moscow — Uglich — Tver — Seliger — Velikiy Novgorod — St.Petersburg
Tour description
Russia has long become one of major tourist destinations of the world, but unfortunately most of the itineraries offered to a foreign traveler comprise the cities of Moscow, St. Petersburg and several museum towns. At the same time, the true wonders and spirit of Russia remain hidden from the foreign tourists.
We are now attempting to present Russia as it is. It is not an easy task, because the most interesting things are far away from big cities and major tourist destinations with their hustle and glamour. Even tarmac roads are not everywhere to be found, and a endure motorbike may be the only possible transport. But what to be seen is a reward in itself. Small Russian towns which history goes many centuries back, authentic villages unaffected by modern civilization, virgin forests and quite rivers and lakes, tranquil and friendly people - all this is what is called “The True Russia”. Quite symbolically, the itinerary connects two Russian capitals – the old and the new ones, and passes through the places where the history of Russia has been made.
